Our mission

Rooted in Dharma.
Present in everyday life.

We cultivate wisdom, compassion, and ethical conduct through contemplative practice, religious instruction, and community.

Skymind Global is a Colorado nonprofit religious corporation. Our Buddhist community, the Skymind Sangha, is rooted in the Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions, including the lineage teachings of Machig Labdrön.

Through meditation gatherings, Dharma teachings, courses, retreats, and practice resources, we support a living relationship with these teachings. Need-based scholarships help reduce financial barriers to participation.

Our work

A living path of practice.

Gathering, learning, and bringing the teachings into the world.

Practice & community

Regular online and in-person gatherings bring the sangha together for meditation, Dharma teachings, reflection, and shared inquiry. Our community supports the integration of awareness, compassion, and ethical conduct into everyday life.

Teachings & retreats

Courses, study programs, and contemplative retreats offer sustained opportunities for spiritual learning and practice. Guided by authorized Buddhist teachers, these gatherings support a deeper understanding of the teachings.

Resources & access

Written teachings, guided meditations, and recordings support ongoing study beyond live gatherings. Scholarships and reduced-cost participation help make courses and retreats available to people with financial need.

Skymind: The Radical
Path of Open Awareness

Drawing on the teachings of Machig Labdrön, the founders’ book explores open awareness, meditation, and compassion in everyday life. It offers a resource for those beginning the path and those deepening an established practice.

The book is presented here as a teaching resource related to Skymind Global’s mission. Purchases are made through external booksellers and are separate from charitable gifts to the nonprofit.

Scholarships & accessibility

The path should be open.

Financial circumstances should not stand in the way of sincere practice.

Skymind Global provides need-based assistance through partial scholarships and reduced program fees. In some cases, we work with retreat centers to help cover participation costs for programs taught by our teachers.

Assistance is considered according to financial need, a sincere intention to participate, and available resources. Requests are reviewed fairly, without preference based on personal connections.

Requesting support

Ask about financial assistance when registering for a course or retreat, or contact us to discuss your circumstances. Awards are applied to participation costs for a specific program.
